For the past nine years, I taught graphic design at Eastlake High School, showing students how to turn ideas into visuals and concepts into real, tangible designs. But I wasn’t just teaching design, I was designing too. As a Career and Technology teacher, I also became the go-to graphic designer for the campus. Clubs, programs, and school events came to me (and my classroom) whenever they needed something brought to life, from posters and logos to shirts and signage. Teaching by day and designing in between, these projects became real-world experiences for my students and some of my favorite creative work. Below are a few highlights from my time at Eastlake.
